A Brief History
The Riverside Tabernacle Church of God was organized in the year of 1937. The location was 1522 10th Avenue, Port Huron, Michigan.
The congregation moved to its present location, 3675 N. River Rd, Fort Gratiot in 1971.
The Church of God has international headquarters in Cleveland, Tennessee. There are approximately 112 Church of God congregations in the State of Michigan. The Church of God ministers in 164 nations of the world.
The Church of God is the oldest Pentecostal denomination in North America. We stand for the whole Bible rightly divided. The New Testament is the only rule for government and discipline.
This year we celebrate our 70th year of Spirit-filled ministry in the Blue Water area. We have adopted the theme of our city's Sesquicentennial, "Celebrate Our Past, Imagine Our Future."
